A huge plume of smoke stands out in the cold crispness of a Prince George winter.

I could not help but notice, on a cold winter day in Prince George at Cottonwood Island Park, the monstrous amount of smoke billowing from stacks at the pulp mill. In a way it is beautiful, but is evidence of our interference with nature.
